Tax Benefit for Bariatrics
The U.S. Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Services allows you to include a weight-loss program as a medical expense if it is used to treat a specific illness or disease diagnosed by a Physician.
Examples include:
- Obesity
- Heart Disease
- Hypertension
You can also include fees paid for membership in a weight reduction group and attendance at periodic meetings.
